On the full moon in August I was fortunate to have some of my work photographed by an awesome Spanish/Venezuelan/French photographer called BASIL FAUCHER....I cannot wait to see what he has done. In the mean time have a look at the brilliant work on his website at:  http://www.basilfaucher.com/

I love it when I discover new music and the talented people who create it.  It is even more amazing when it happens to be my lovely hostess Marie Claire, who provided me with a cosy place to lay my head in Edinburgh.

Check out her hypnotic and mesmerising postings on You Tube under the guise of

August

AUGUST like the stone associated with the month; Peridot, has been quite a vibrant month.

I have been to Edinburgh and back, been involved in a fashion show, met some amazing people and made a few brilliant discoveries along the way.

All of these things deserve their own stand alone mention, so I will give them each their own blog entry…

Fashion on Fringe at the Edinburgh Festival

ROCK THE SHOP!

And that is exactly what happened when I was invited by Scottland's coolest design consortium Che Camille to take
part in a fashion extravaganza at the very arty Forest Cafe in Edinburgh.
I was in good company as designers such as Claire Ferguson, Judy R Clark and Jane Gowans all showed collections that I absolutely lusted over.  However the high lights of the night were a rap homage to Che Camille and a hot as can be drag queen.
I had such a blast and the Edinburgh festival is a must see event.  I LOVED EVERY MOMENT!

Una does it again!

Wow wow wow! Burke you rock!  Literally!
Aside from all the amazing press that Una Burke has been recieving - Italian Vogue and Daphnie Guiness sporting one of her pieces to name just a few, you can now see one of Una's awesome body pieces in the new Ozzy Osbourne video for "Let me hear you scream!"  Check it out on You Tube (its is the tan coloured corset on the crazy girls towards the end.)

Here's a 3 finger horn in the air to you chickie!

Photo Shoot

Wow, what a few weeks it has been.  I have been up to my ears in cameras, styling and photo shoots.  Not to mention models that rise up way beyond my ears.

However the results have been superb and the photos of my new collection are fantastic.
I'd like to give a special thanks to photographer Andres Landino for not only taking amazing pictures, but for his mastery of make up and endless encouragement. Check out his work at http://www.andreslandino.com
Also I have to thank super creative make up artist Jo and my gorgeous models Monica Paluszek and Claudia Smith.

Nature Rocks!

How can we not be inspired by nature?  This Sunday I had the pleasure of visiting Kew Gardens with their awesome orchid displays and other botanical delights.  Mother Nature is the most creative and original designer of all. I urge you to visit, maybe even climb a tree:  http://www.kew.org/

Happy Valentines Day Lovers and Tigers!

Today is a fantastic day!  Hearts are filled with love, it is the start of the Chinese year of the Tiger...GRRRRRRRR!
And my fabulous friend Una Burke has just completed her commision for pop's lady of the moment Lady Ga Ga and her up comming tour.
I cannot wait to see the GA GA making and entrance in Una's edgy and striking pieces.  For a teaser of what to expect check out Una's website at http://unaburke.com/index.html
I LOVE her work and will watch with anticipation the rise of Una and her amazing work.

London College of Fashion MA show 2010

This week I was fortunate to be a guest at the London College of Fashion’s
MA show at the Historic V&A museum.
And what a fashionable affair it was with guests including Jo Wood, Grayson Perry, Paloma Faith, Mika, Jody Harsh as well as fashion heavy weights Terry de Havilland, Harrold Tillman and Nicky Haslam.
Mens wear stole the show with Sven Hoppe winning Collection of the
year.  In fact men’s wear dominated the show.  Although it was also evident that fur was very much back on the cards with a jaw dropping and reactionary collection from Turkish designer Merve Tuna.

While for me it was the accessories that were most inspired such as new shape bowler hats, luggage by Sarah Williams and a stand out star in this arena is leather work designer Rob Goodwin. http://www.arts.ac.uk/showtime/robgoodwin

His unicorn helmet, elephant mask and nail heel shoes demonstrated his outstanding skill and craftsmanship. I couldn’t help but be inspired.

Hello Snow Angels

I hope you are enjoying the snow and that the trials of travelling in these conditions are not too frustrating.

It is times like these that we think of warmer climes, and so I am finalising my new collection to welcome in the spring.  I have been hard at work mixing colours and developing bolder and chunkier pieces to add to the sterling silver collection.
So keep on dropping by the website as I will soon start to put some of the new piece on sale so that you can lift your mood with brightly coloured treats.

Also, Hayley Kruger has just started a new pearl and necklace re-stringing service, so if you require such a service please drop me an email via the mail box on the contacts page or give me a call and we can discuss your requirements.

Keep safe and keep warm
Hayley
